How was it done? - these stones are very hard indeed, much harder than the others at  Machu Piccu or Saqsayhuaman.  Not even modern diamond tools can do this to such a degree of accuracy, cigarette paper will not fit in most of the mortar less joints even after 500 years of earthquakes. The theories range from "spacemen cut them"  through  " they used even harder meteorites to shape them" (and a few used ones have been found) to "they used a process now lost in time". The last is probably the one but what was the process?
